The practical application exercises- it gave me a chance to fill roles where I may not normally be placed.

None- the instructors were well versed in the training material, as well as the exercises. The exercises were very well planned out, and instruction/assistance was provided when/where needed.

Actually putting the learned skills to use; and, working with surrounding agencies on live (yet simulated) training events/.
