The establishment of a command separate from the staging area initially didn't make sense, but once the concept was practiced, it became apparent why it was needed.

The statistics were the lease valuable, but that is because they are good to know but ultimately are not something that you can rely on in such events. It isn't over until it is over.

Instruction was exceptional. This is the first active shooter training that I have attended that I felt like the instructors were credible and were capable of teaching.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

More trauma care/IED identification.

The radios could be higher quality. Most of the difficulties in the practical exercises was related to the radios.

More advanced courses in active incident management.

In 20 years in the military and 24 in law enforcement this is the only class ive ever been to that stuck to times for breaks.
